Kai Tak Factory Bldg Office features a largely black palette, this 3,000 sq.ft. office has been decorated in several shades of grey. Such combination of colors helps to add layering to the interiors design.
As a workspace fostering creativity, the interior of the design firm is contemporary and minimal yet at the same time playful and eclectic. Setting up of a leisure & entertainment zone enables teammates to take a break from busy work, giving a sense of harmony. A snooker table which contributed to the relaxing working environment was placed at the center of the zone, next to the pantry. Leisure & entertainment zone greets visitors with a Manhattan night scene. The digital print feature wall not only serves as a decorative element, but also helps to stimulate inspiration.
How to strike a balance between design profession and relaxing working atmosphere is the major concern when planning the interiors of a design firm. Focusing on spatial planning and color combination, Danny aims at adding playful elements, encouraging creative thinking, and further enhancing interaction between teammates in the Kai Tak Factory Building Office. The overall design emphasizes on the implementation of environmentally friendly practices, such as the use of energy saving lighting systems. Light sources vary automatically depends on users – turn on when one gets closer, turn off when one walk away. Smart living systems has also been introduced to the project. As such, the design team could simply demonstrate various effects of the smart living systems to their clients.
